Compact Disk?
Does anyone still buy CD’s? I thought about it today, and it’s probably been about five years for me. There’s been some vinyl, but no CD’s. All music purchases through iTunes or other vendors. I wonder how long it will take for movies to suffer the same demise (for me, at least)? [+]

Leaving a Movie Theatre
Something funny happened tonight. I went to go watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and there was an unusual amount of female senior citizens (aka, old ladies). Ten minutes into it, there was full-frontal male nudity, many a curse word, etc. I would say about half of those in attendance left the theatre.It reminded me of that time I saw Brokeback Mountain in a rural Oklahoman town. On opening night. Lots of locals, who I imagine, saw two cowboys on the poster and probably thought it was going to be a hoot. Instead, I saw the theatre become empty once it became clear, with lots of booing, slurs and throwings of popcorn and soda. I shit you not.
Still, people left. Not giving it a chance. Seeing hard-earned dollars just entering a dark obvlivion of no return. I don’t know if I could ever do that. Would I ask for a refund? An exchange? Are studios not advertising correctly? Should there be a service that ‘matches’ you to your correct movie? Something to think about, I suppose… [+]

Just for the Record
Whenever I get a fountain drink (or any kind of drink for that matter), I never get ice. I find the drink always arrives cold, won’t get that watered-down taste, and I get more in quantity, resulting in better quality. Just sayin’. [+]
